Wagner, Debbie
Debbie Wagner says that her creativity emerged at the tender age of five, when she began cooking with Julia Child in front of the TV. Later, she spent many hours on her own painting, drawing and creating. Debbie has experimented with many forms of creativity: caning chairs and baskets, to making her own shoes, gardening, drying flowers for floral arrangements and faux-painting walls. In 2002, she learned that she had two brain tumors. After undergoing surgery to remove the tumors, she became obsessed with painting. She has enjoyed the evolution of her painting styles and subjects over the years, but one aspect has stayed consistent. She begins each day by painting the sunrise, for her a journal entry of God’s ultimate combination of colors.
