Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma,now living west of Kansas City near Lawrence, on a farm raising sunflowers and wild flowers, as well as other farm crops. She describes herself as a 'scattered brain' artist, as she varies greatly in subject, medium and interest, from one day to another. She has a BA from the University of Hawaii. Many workshops and inspirations from fellow artists. Mary Jane’s mantra is: “Oklahoman by birth, Jayhawk by choice, University of Hawaii grad by circumstance, Kansan by choice of partner, and artist by instinct!”
